Film Screening & Discussion - The Seventh Seal

Seventh Seal
115 Peabody

The Philosophy Graduate Student Association presents "The Seventh Seal," Igmar Bergman's 1957 world-renowned classic medieval fantasy set in the aftermath of the Crusades as the Black Death plagues Europe. This iconic film in which a returning knight meets Death for a chess game reflects mankind's deepest, darkest conflicts regarding life, death, and the existence of God.

This is part of the first installment of the Film & Philosophy Series. The theme for this series is "On Catastrophe." The public is invited to attend this screening followed by a short discussion. Light refreshments will be provided. Contact Michael.Starling25@uga.edu for more info.
