Anthony Shiver has been recognized as the department’s Outstanding Teaching Assistant of 2013. Shiver serves as the Department of Philosophy Graduate Student Association secretary and recently traveled to Norway at the invitation of the Center for the Study of Mind in Nature and Arché, the Philosophical Research Centre for Logic, Language, Metaphysics and Epistemology to present at their highly competitive annual Graduate Conference. He has also recently published an article on logic card games in Teaching Philosopy. “A participant in the Department's metaphysics focus area, Anthony has done great work during his three years in our PhD program and I look forward to an excellent dissertation from him during the next two years,” says Professor Charles Cross, Shiver’s advisor.
