In the News: Philosophy Majors Among Lowest Unemployment Rates

A recent article on Entrepreneur.com, "These Are the College Majors With the Lowest Unemployment Rates — and Philosophy Ranks Higher Than Computer Science" analyzes data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York to find that Philosophy majors are among the most highly employed college graduates. "Companies are increasing their recruitment of humanities majors to obtain diverse perspectives," the article states, noting that Philosophy majors have an unemployment rate of 3.2%, well below the most recently calculated national average of 4.2%.
