Ethics Club Places Second in Spring Ethics Bowl

UGA Ethics Bowl team 2025

Congratulations to the Ethics Club at UGA on their second place finish in the University of Chicago Spring Ethics Bowl on April 26th. UGA's team placed higher than several prominent schools, finishing with a record of 3-1 to overcome third place Harvard University (2-1-1) and falling just shy of first place Taylor University (4-0). All three match wins were awarded by a consensus judge opinion, while the single loss was given by a split decision. Also compting were Texas State, Northwestern, Iowa State, and Iowa.

Ethics Bowl team members include undergraduate Philosophy students Peter Bartlett, Anne Bodo, Caty Huff, Jenna Hourania, Aidan Scibilia, and Aquinas Voss (pictured from top left to right). The team is coached by Philosophy PhD student Danielle Kotrla and Assistant Professor Jeremy Davis.
