The Department of Philosophy held a reception on Friday, December 15, 2023 to celebrate our students participating in Fall 2023 commencement ceremonies. We were excited to welcome their friends and families to Peabody Hall as we congratulated these accomplished young people and wish them well in all their future endeavors! Graduate student Josué Piñeiro was awarded a PhD, he is pictured third from left with faculty Melissa Fahmy, Sarah Wright, Aaron Meskin, Piers Stephens, and Thanassis Samaras. Dr. Piñeiro is now employed as a full-time lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at Kennesaw State University. Bachelor of Arts graduates pictured above, left to right, include: Gabe Homan, who plans to attend law school in the coming year; Emmaline Waller who will be beginng a career as a history teacher; Chadrick Wrights is relocating to Germany where he is participating in a global rotational leadership program with a major manufacturing company; and Jonathan Poleski is exploring opportunities to teach history with plans to pursue a graduate degree in history.
