Saturday, September 13 2025, 9am - 6pm Peabody Hall The Philosophy Graduate Student Association hosts the workshop Student Philosophy in the South (SPITS) on Saturday, September 13 from 9am to 6pm. Philosophy graduate students from throughout the region will gather to think through problems in contemporary philosophy. Keynote speaker Lindsay Brainard, assistant professor of philosophy at University of Alabama at Birmingham, will present a talk on “Artistic Creativity as Aesthetic Inquiry.” All are welcome and encouraged to attend, though we are asking that folks register in advance so that we have an accurate estimate of attendance.
