Ben McCraw was awarded the 2012 Gittler Fellowship, a dissertation completion fellowship for philosophy graduate students who have been admitted to candidacy. McCraw’s dissertation focused on religious epistemology, particularly the intersection of virtue epistemology and religious belief, Sarah Wright served as his major professor. McCraw now teaches as an adjunct professor at University of South Carolina Upstate. “The Gitler award allowed me to complete my dissertation and defend in the fall rather than the spring,” explains McCraw of the assistance provided by the fellowship. “It's also very nice to get an award as some positive feedback on the state of your work.” For more on the Gittler Fellowship, click here.
